Took this at about 7:00 this morning, under the I-395 on the Hill. Destruction/construction had momentarily ceased for this neighborhood. It was so peaceful. Just a few dog walkers and lots of sun. DC is still able to revert to an earlier, quieter version of itself on Sunday mornings. It’s the best time to be out.

Stop Domestic Abuse
Couldn’t get the whole image in a single frame — but that’s the theme of this mural: domestic violence. Behind the mom are some dark images of the struggle she and her son have been enduring. The whole thing is really beautiful and optimistic. I love it.
