Without a doubt, this is one of my favorite murals in the city. It’s just beautiful — and highlights important places, like Meridian Hill/Malcolm X Park, that deserve the attention! I love it.

If anyone told me that there were dozens of murals in DC, I wouldn’t have believed it. Sure Marilyn and a few others — but all of these wild and beautiful works of art on our streets and in our alleys? No way. Yet, here they are. Certain neighborhoods seem to have really embraced the medium: U Street, Columbia Heights, Adams Morgan, Brightwood and Park View. I haven’t ventured much into Southeast or Far Northeast yet, so we’ll see what’s there. But so far, I amazed that I find new art on the streets every weekend, almost everywhere I go.
